REPORT
One of the partner universities with whom UE - Varna cooperates for a long period of time in scientific and research field is Ural Federal University (UrFU), Yekaterinburg city, Russia. During the academic 2014/2015 year the cooperation was extended and the first academic exchange was held.
The period of the academic exchange: from 22 September to 18 December 2014.
The participants from the part of the UrFU: 12 students and 2 professors.
In close cooperation with the Informatics Department (UE - Varna) and Analysis of Systems and Making Decisions Department (UrFU) the students were taught the following majors:
1. E-Business - 1st part, prof. PhD Petko Iliev, assoc. prof., PhD Snejana Silova, assoc. prof., PhD Maria Kasheva
2. Business modelling, assoc. prof., PhD N. Filipova
3. Analysis and Creating of BIS, assoc. prof., PhD P. Peneva
4. Intellectual Agents and Multiagent Systems, assoc. prof., PhD T. Atanasova
5. Corporate network, chief assistant Mikhail Radev
Additionally, the students have chosen 4 disciplines that are taught within the guidelines of Erasmus+ programme: Bulgarian Language, assoc. prof., PhD Vladimir Dosev; ERP Systems, assoc. prof., PhD Ulian Vasilev; Panel Data Analysis, assoc. prof., PhD Georgi Marinov.
In addition to various educational programmes the students took part in different cultural events and meetings, there were excursions to cape Kaliakra, Kavarna, Balchik, Nesebar, Stone Forest, Madara, the Archeological Museum (Varna).
After successful taking exam session on 18 December 2014 an official ceremony of granting the certificates for the participants was held. The following persons were present at the event: prof. PhD Plamen Iliev, the Rector; assoc. prof., PhD Violeta Dimitrova, Vice-rector on International cooperation and public relations; assoc. prof., PhD Todorka Atanasova, Dean of the Informatics Faculty; assoc. prof., PhD Silvia Parusheva, the Head of the Academic Exchange in UE - Varna; the academic staff of the Informatics Department and the personnel of International Relations Office.
In general, the group of 12 students acted with due diligence and there was no need to repeat the examination.
Besides the high results the students impressed the academic staff by their good upbringing, reasonableness and regular visiting the classes. It was very pleasant and easy for the teaching staff and the personnel as well to work with the group.
