The students from the University of Economics - Varna, following Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes in regular, part-time or distance forms of training, study foreign language under curricula developed by the relevant Departments which define the form of training, the duration of language courses, the specialized focus of training, and the form of control upon completion of the course.

The training is performed by the Language Department, which consists of two departments - Slavic Languages and Western European Languages, offering language courses included in the curricula of students in English, German, French and Russian languages, Business Correspondence in Bulgarian Language, as well as preparatory courses in Bulgarian or English language for foreign students.

The curricula define the forms of training - compulsory elective, i.e. the students are required to choose one of the offered languages for a semester, and elective /optional/ - the students choose at their own will to study a preferred language out of the above mentioned. The training period ends with an examination or a current grade.
